Terms of use

The game

• Playing requires an account and a username. Usernames appear on public scoreboards — pick one you're happy to show.
• Play fair. No bots, no automated guessing, no exploiting bugs for score or rating. We may reset scores or close accounts that cheat, and we may remove offensive usernames.
• The game is provided as-is while in active development. Features, packs, scores and ratings may change or be reset as the game evolves — we'll avoid it where we can.

Images and attribution

Round images come from freely licensed collections (public domain, CC0 and CC BY sources such as museum open-access programmes and Wikimedia Commons) and are shown with attribution on the reveal screen. TimeHuntr is not affiliated with or endorsed by these institutions. If you believe an image is mislicensed, email hello@timehuntr.com and we'll review it promptly.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, TimeHuntr is provided without warranties, and we're not liable for losses arising from playing a free browser game about guessing years. Historical dates shown as answers are sourced from open data and may occasionally be wrong — tell us and we'll fix them.
